During my recent trip to Europe I ticked off a big bucket list item.
I spent a week doing a ceramic residency in France with well known potter, Sylph Baier in her 17th century old French mill and permaculture farm, located an hour out of Bordeaux.
What a treat it was to spend the week with Sylph. She was so generous with her time and knowledge sharing of all things ceramics.
The setting could not have been more ideal. Each day we got to experiment, learn and create in both the indoor and outdoor studios. By the end of the week we had completed pieces to take home.
Since returning home I’ve been busy preparing for all the upcoming coming markets this side of Christmas whilst putting into practice all the things I learnt from Sylph.
