It’s hard to reflect separately on all the elements that made up my week with Sylph at the mill, as they blended perfectly to create a truly one of a kind experience. The beautiful setting, the pleasant October days with chilly mornings and gorgeous sunsets, and of course, most of all, the kind attention of Sylph, both as an instructor and as a host. As an instructor, she supports much more than your technical skills – I return home with a more mindful, more informed approach to what I create in the studio and that to me is priceless.
As a host, she generously and tirelessly attended to every detail of our stay, from the comfortable accommodations (which included a cozy fire in the woodburning stove every morning!) to the daily excursions for lunch and delicious evening meals cooked in her home. Sylph is simply great company! It was a week filled with much laughter and many interesting conversations. I highly recommend a week with Sylph (and Scrumpy, the furry canine commander) at the mill!
